there are few humans i love as much as this little guy. his imagination and playfulness inspire me to think more creatively; his love for sweets makes me consistently hungry for a chocolate chip cookie; and his little laugh gives me hope when all feels lost. everyone needs a lamby in their life. 🥰 // 📸 —> sweet d

the annual egg hunt really hit another level when the bubbles got brought out. // i had a blast playing this afternoon with my nephew lamby and little cousin cassie! 🌞

some much needed, hearty laughs over the weekend with three of my all-time favorite people. thanks for letting me bring the camera out!

i’m officially 27. and gees louise, i didn’t expect the past year to go the way it did. it’s been a tough year for all of us. some got really sick, others lost loved ones. some folks lost their jobs or small businesses, while others have battled mental health stability through these brutal times. i’m grateful to be alive today.

i found a mini hardback copy of my favorite book — the brothers k — at this secondhand bookstore in lancaster. so you can say it’s been a good birthday thus far ;) s/o to @brownmikke for the cool photo :)

etsy has lots of prints that you can download for cheap and print out yourself! if you’re looking to add some prints to your house, or you want to gift one, check out etsy shops for some dope options. and then head to the thrift store for a cheap frame! :)

we’ve got a lot more in common than we think we do. give each other grace today as you have uncomfortable conversations around the dinner table, or if you’re spending turkey day alone, give yourself some grace too. :)

local yinzer dictionary

“a yinzer”
a person who speaks Pittsburghese, would rather die than cheer for a Philly team, is down to earth and is constantly reminding everybody that Pittsburgh is the City of Champions.

“yinz”
think of it as a way of saying “y’all” or “everybody”.

“aht”
how to properly pronounce “out”.

“dahn tahn”
how to properly pronounce “downtown”.

“pitch”
to throw something away. “guh-head and jus pitch it!”

“n’at”
think of it as “and so on.” (i.e., “we’re going dahn to the city to grab some food n’at.”)

“pop”
the correct pronunciation of a carbonated beverage.

“guh-head!”
the way yinzers say, “go ahead!”

“gumband”
what some would call a rubber band.

“Gian Iggle”
how a yinzer says “Giant Eagle,” which is Pittsburgh’s best grocery store.

“Beaver Cahny”
how a yinzer says Beaver County.
